Look past the label.

A promising listing can take a lot of checking. We bring the fit details together so you can spend more time on the pieces that interest you.

A

The label

Size labels leave room for surprises.

A 42R can vary by maker, era, and cut. We compare the garment’s measurements with a piece you already know fits.

Familiar proportions, beyond the tag.

B

The evidence

The details are scattered.

Measurements may appear in descriptions or photographs. We bring the available evidence together and show where information is missing.

A clear comparison, with uncertainty in view.

C

The search

Search results need sorting.

A search for a polo coat can turn up polo shirts and children’s jackets. We filter for the garment you want, then assess the fit.

More attention for the pieces you meant to find.

What counts as an evaluation?

An evaluated item is a listing that reaches a full AI assessment. Listings filtered out beforehand do not count. Results we can reuse and unchanged relisted items do not use another evaluation.

Do I measure myself or my clothes?

Your clothes. Start with a garment that fits the way you like, then save its measurements. We use them to compare similar pieces.

What do PASS, MARGINAL, and FAIL mean?

They describe the fit assessment. PASS is a promising match, MARGINAL calls for a closer look at the differences, and FAIL indicates a poor fit match. Read the measurements and explanation alongside each result.

How do brand, condition, and price affect the recommendation?

Fit determines the recommendation. Brand adds context and helps sort results. We assess condition from the seller’s description and show the asking price alongside the result.

Where do I buy something I like?

On eBay. Open the listing to check the seller’s photographs, description, shipping, and return terms before you buy.

Can thrift.fit guarantee the fit?

A measurement comparison cannot tell you exactly how a garment will feel or drape. thrift.fit shows the available evidence and the measurement differences to help you make a more informed choice.
